Another creature Tituba described had a head like a women, two legs, and wings. She said that that the man that appeared to her told her she could have the canary that accompied him if she served him.
Tituba told Hathorne that another figure with a cat came to her the night before and bargained with her. This figure took Tituba's hearing for a short time and Tituba told the court that this figure was one of Hathorne's other suspects in disguise.
Tituba's testimony is one of the longest of all the Salem testimonies.
Hathorne questioned her about the Devil's book. Tituba said that she had seen it, but only the names of the two other women arrested decipherable. All she knew was that some of those whose names were written in the book lived in Boston and a few in Salem, but the Devil would not tell her the names of these people. When Tituba could not take anymore of the interogations she howled that the Devil, furious with her for revealing his secrets, had taken her sight.
